Little bit about us
Hi there! We are the Marquette Women’s Ultimate Frisbee Team,
better known as Moxie. We are so glad you are interested in learning more about us. The ultimate frisbee club program was established at Marquette in the early 2000s. Moxie's male counterpart, also known as Birdhouse, typically shares practice space with us and competes at the same tournaments. Despite being separate club teams, Moxie and Birdhouse travel to the same tournaments together and support each other as much as possible. For more information about joining, email one of the captains directly on the Contact page, email the club at [email protected], find us at O-Fest, look for informational posters around campus, or just head on down to practice! Don’t know how to play? Don’t worry, we’ll teach you! Anyone can play and all are welcome. |
Costs
Costs typically involve uniforms for new members and the cost of the weekend tournaments. Tournament costs include the hotel, gas, and tournament fees. The costs are split among those attending the tournament. You will not be charged if you are not going. Along with the tournament costs, each person buys their own food when Moxie and Birdhouse go out for meals. Merchandise is also typically sold at tournaments so don't forget money for souvenirs! |
